RULES: Everyone is a fan in their own way. I tend to lead toward pessimism and reality checkism. This thread is for us chicken littles. Use this thread to express legit concerns and worries about the Blue Crew. If you are of the optimist nature. You can peruse and if you disagree please do so in a kind and constructive manner. No bashing or flaming will be tolerated. The purpose of this thread is to vent and if you choose not to hear the "whining" then you can not click here.

Man today has really got me worried.
It feels like everytime we get "close" the Dodgers get lax.
I am tired of being exciting for BEING TIED for first place.
I keep waiting for this team to get "over the hump"
and im afraid it never will.
I was very much for the Maddux Redux
and Manny Mania seems to be deflating

so we are left with more LOFTY expectations while we keep tryin to figure it out.

its like we are in a sinking ship and we are bailing for our lives and we need to find the hole and plug it already !!!!!!!!! bang

As long as the Dodgers dont fall more then 3 games out during September, they should be ok. Anything can still happen, Im mean, who thought the Rockies would make that run that they did last year, they had to virtualy be unbeaten the last 2 weeks of the season to make the playoffs and they only lost 1 game during the 2 week span. Im still not losing hope. I think the D-backs will back pedal and the blue crew will catch them.

There are 2 players that need to get hot in the month of September, and if they do I guarantee the Dodgers will win the division. Those players are Loney and Martin. What good has it really been when 2 of the 4 hitters at the top of the line up get on and the 5 and 6 hitters cant do nothing to bring them in. Those are 2 key players that have been on the cold side and they really need to get going now.

I was going to try and not post in this thread as up until tonight I still had faith. BUT HOLY CRAP OUR TEAM STINKS!!! Seriously anytime Arizona loses it seems we can't get a win. WTF? Honestly we don't have that bad of a team. Especially when it comes to the NL west. We definitally have a better team that ARIZONA... ARGH I have lost faith. Screw Torre and i'll be so surprised if Manny wants to resign with a team that is this bad with this much talent. I just don't know who to blame anymore. Torre? Maybe but it has a lot to do with our teams play in clutch situations... i'll be so surprised if we make the playoffs.

What to blame? simple, pitching, and depth.

Our one consistent starter has been Bills, and we can't seem to stay healthy.

I hope Nomar, Kent, Penny, Broxton, and Blake gone.

bring in Hu, and Dewitt.

Even though Sundays lose ticked my off I still havent lost faith on winning the division. Come September the Dodgers have an easy schedule and should win every series. Sep. 1-3 v's SD at home. Sep. 5-7 Arz at home. Sep. 8-10 v's SD. away. Sep. 12-14 v's Col. away. Sep. 15-18 v's Pit. away. Sep. 19-21 v's SF Home. Sep. 23-25 v's SD Home. Sep. 26-28 v's SF away.
This is an easy schedule and if they deserve to make the playoffs they should win every series in the month of September.

CC without a doubt.

Hitting wins divisions, pitching wins Championship banners.

But statistically speaking, at least not that long ago, our pitching wasn't that bad. Statsitically we were doing REALLY GOOD. Our offense hasn't been producing. But we have been going downhill since I read that stat a couple weeks back.
