torre should empty the bench

put in nomore, we have the Wizard Kent out there, Ozuna, and berroa

and if another run comes accross for the phillies (100% certain), put in Juan Pierre...he'll hit a grandslam with his slappy power

Come on guys... I can't believe what I'm hearing from you guys. All the Phills
do was hold down home field.

We can easily win the next three and steal one in Philly.

I completely agree with Glen...i was kinda disappointed hearing all this negativity...and Kuroda has been pretty solid all year pitching at Dodger Stadium...and Lowe has pitched well for us the last couple of months during the season...he only had one shaky inning in Game 1, really only a couple of bad pitches...the inning could have been totally different without the error by furcal...

+1

Since Lowe only went 5+ innings on Wed. he can come back for game four on
short rest. Would I feel better if we stole one in Philly? Sure, but I'm not gonna
hit the panic button just yet. Maybe if we had Gump but not with Torre.

he may have something there

Billz was dealing....5 ks....pitch selection was questionable. Sometimes Russ has been questionable in the past with calling games

In any case, we still lost

Hmmm...

Bills needs to be more careful with what he says to reporters. He was probably
frustrated. Besides doesn't Torre handle the pitch selection or does he only call
for pitch-outs? man3

Dodgers didn't lose because of pitch selection ... it wasn't martins fault nor Bills....

I believe it was the ball girl cuz Manny is CLEARLY distracted.

Btw fellas, thats just classic BSPN piss poor journalism

Here's the LA Times and Daily News' take on the interview:

"The game started getting a little quick on me," he said. "I tried to step back and gather my thoughts a little bit."

But he couldn't. "I didn't put guys away. I could never stop the bleeding."

"I didn't make great pitch selections today," he said.

Martin, who called the game, smiled and shrugged when relayed Billingsley's comments.

"When you're not throwing the ball like you want to, it's easy to second-guess yourself," Martin said.

All eight of those runs were charged to a shellshocked Billingsley, who had no answer for what was happening and didn't have much of an answer for those who came around to ask about it later.

"I didn't throw inside enough, and they hit some good pitches," Billingsley said. "I never could stop the bleeding."

You clearly aren't a true Dodger fan Darth. This one is FAR from over. Phills didnt win 2 games, the dodgers won it for them. Like I say, it aint over till the last out is recorded. If this was a 5 game series I would be worried but its not, its a 7 gamer. Now the Dodgers are down one game and Im sure they can sweep the Phills here at home. They have done a great job holding Rollins, Howard and Utley all year long and they continue to do it. Until the Dodgers are eliminated I dont cry defeat...And I STRONGLY believe the Dodgers will come through and win this series. They shocked the baseball world in round one and they will do it again in round 2...........

uhhh, i'm certain that you don't have to be a myopic fan to be a "true" fan

and the team DID look pretty bad offensively the first 2 games minus Manny Ramirez

Dude McLovin man, that is wrong to say. Don't be throwing around accusations like that. You can believe me, when I say that Darth is a true Dodgers fan. He and I have gone to game together. He is just not optimistic. He is looking at the facts and saying "it isn't in our favor." If you do think about it all the Phils have to do is win 2 more games. Dodgers have to win 3. We have played 3 of the 7 game series. Lets just say it goes to all 7 games. That means that the Dodgers only have a total of 3 games in L.A. ... it is tough to go into an opponent's ball park and win. Phillies can just win the rest of their games at home with their screaming fans to beat us. We have to take on from them. I think that is what Darth is thkning about. IDK, I am not him, but the odds don't look good. BUT DONT call him an untrue dodger fan, he bleeds blue.

^^ what he said

Darth was one of the original founders of this site, and he was around all last year when we were struggling big time. To accuse him of not being a true Dodger fan is reprehensible.

Yeah a bit harsh.

Regarding the team looking bad offensively, I see it as our pitching letting us
down. We got some bad breaks on Manny and Loney's potential HR's because
of that stupid ballpark. But whatevers, I still feel good about this team.

lol

man10 guys.. its okay for Mc to call me out.. i cant help it if i INVEST alot of emotion into my team and be called a fairweather fan....

I forgot whos sig it was i think SOAD's.. Vinny says it best.. losing feels worse than winning feels good...

i can sit here and call myself a millionaire every time i buy a ticket because there's a CHANCE for me to win.. i'd rather call myself POOR UNTIL i have that money... that's how i view everything.. it hurts less.. when the truth gets sprung on you.. hope is one thing... and there's ALWAYS hope.. and i ALWAYS keep the faith.. my pessimism... allows my FAITH to survive... i have to vent it.. or it will stay in...

but such is the life of a NON TRUE fan.. we dont put TOO MUCH thought into it man5 man12

I'm real confident going into tonight's game with D. Lowe being on the mound for us tonight...and hopefully Bills shakes off game 2 and comes out firing in Game 5...I agree that sweeping at home is almost essential
